01
Use the right application route
Canadian education, education outside Canada and registration in another Canadian jurisdiction are different starting points. The checklist helps organise tasks; it does not assess eligibility. If you are already registered in another province, use the destination regulator’s transfer instructions rather than starting an international-graduate application.

Documents: record the delivery method as well as the name
A transcript is an official record of your studies. A credential assessment compares education completed in another country. A nursing registration verification confirms your registration history. These are different documents. Some records must be sent directly by a school, regulator or assessment service; a personal upload may not satisfy the requirement.
Keep your name consistent across your passport, school records and application. If your name has changed, ask which supporting evidence is accepted. Use the regulator’s instructions for translations, certification and direct delivery. Do not send original documents to RN Clarity.

Confirm the credential route before paying
NNAS is not universally mandatory. Ontario has approved educational credential assessment providers and specified accepted assessment routes. Alberta accepts specified ECA providers and NNAS as described in its pathways. British Columbia’s standard IEN route involves BCCNM and Inspire, with different instructions for applicants who qualify for an expedited route. Select the correct route before buying a report.

04
When your checklist is complete
An exam pass alone does not authorise practice. Complete all remaining registration requirements and confirm your active registration or practice permit with the regulator. Keep application tracking separate from your study schedule.
