01

Request each record from the right issuer

Map each document to the organisation that holds the original record. Your school supplies education evidence; the licensing authority verifies professional registration; an employer supplies the requested employment or practice-hours evidence. A recruiter’s summary does not replace a required direct-source record.

You first worked under a DHA licence in Dubai and later under a DOH licence in Abu Dhabi. If the destination asks for all registrations, track both authorities separately. Your most recent licence is not automatically evidence of the earlier record.

  • Identity: passport and name-change evidence if applicable
  • Education: qualification, transcript and any required theory/clinical details
  • Registration: current and previous licences requested by the destination
  • Employment: dates, role and hours when the receiving authority asks for them
  • Translations: follow the recipient’s accepted translator and delivery rules

02

United Arab Emirates: the official verification route

Start with the issuer printed on your licence rather than treating the UAE as one licence record. DHA in Dubai, DOH in Abu Dhabi and MOHAP publish different professional verification services. If another authority issued your licence, use that authority’s instructions.

DHA’s Sheryan service distinguishes a good-standing certificate from licence-details verification and accepts current or previously DHA-licensed professionals, including nurses and midwives. For licence-details verification, its published page lists the recipient’s verification form, passport copy and last DHA licence.

DOH publishes a current-professional-status certificate service and states that it can be sent through the system to another authority using the recipient email. MOHAP publishes a nursing-registration verification service for holders of its nursing practice certificate. Check the service that matches your own record and the destination’s requested evidence.

If you moved between Dubai, Abu Dhabi and another emirate, list each licence issuer and practice period. One certificate should not be assumed to cover every UAE registration you have held. Keep school transcripts and employer practice evidence separate from these licence verifications.

03

A practical request sequence

Prepare the receiving authority’s current form before opening a local request. Use its application reference and official recipient, and check whether it accepts electronic delivery. Some authorities require records to come directly from the issuer; forwarding your own copy can leave the application incomplete.

  • Read the issuing authority on every current or previous UAE licence.
  • Match each request to DHA, DOH, MOHAP or the other actual issuer.
  • For DHA licence-details verification, prepare the required destination form and licence evidence.
  • Confirm recipient details and direct delivery with the applicable service.
  • Track each authority separately if you have held more than one UAE licence.

04

Check these details before sending

Match names and dates across the passport, school records and licence history. Keep evidence of an official name change rather than editing a document yourself. Ask the receiver how it wants discrepancies explained.

Record a sent date and a received date separately. A courier receipt or completed local request is not proof that the destination accepted the document. Ask for confirmation in the recipient’s application portal or through its official contact route.

  • Issuing authority on each current or former UAE licence
  • Separate DHA, DOH, MOHAP or other-authority request references
  • Destination form and official recipient for each verification
  • Practice dates and employer evidence across emirates

Track progress without exposing private records

Use the checklist below for task status only. It stays in this open page and is not uploaded or saved as a document store. Do not enter passport numbers, licence scans, login details or patient information into a study tool.

Keep actual documents in your own secure storage. Send them only through the issuer’s or receiving authority’s approved channel. RN Clarity helps organise learning and planning; it does not submit or decide licensing applications.
