Use the correct education-verification route
NYSED describes the Credential Verification Service for New York State through TruMerit, formerly CGFNS, or direct institutional documentation using its forms. Form 2F is for education verification when the applicant is not using that service. The applicant does not substitute their own uploaded transcript for the required school submission. If previously licensed abroad, follow the separate licence-verification instructions.
Prepare a clean follow-up record
Save your application identifier, dates of school requests and the recipient for each item. Ask the relevant sender to confirm dispatch before asking NYSED to locate a missing record. Do not send multiple unsolicited copies or buy a different credential product because an account remains under review. Follow the pathway’s current NCLEX instructions and wait for the required education/eligibility clearance.

Review NYSED’s current RN licence requirements, including any education rules and exemptions relevant after initial licensure. A successful examination is not permission to start work until the licence and other applicable conditions are satisfied.
