NCLEX-RN Application Checklist for Filipino Nurses
Build a printable checklist for a U.S. nursing board or Canadian province: documents, senders, deadlines, credential evaluation and ATT.
Quick answer
Choose the regulator for the place where you intend to practise before buying reports or registering for the examination. Your test location and your licensure destination are different decisions.
Start with the intended licence
Write down the U.S. state or Canadian province where you want to register. A nursing regulator decides eligibility and grants registration; Pearson administers the exam. RN Clarity helps with preparation. These organisations have different roles.
Graduation, passing the PNLE and holding PRC registration are not interchangeable with meeting a foreign regulator’s requirements. Check whether your destination requires licence verification, examinations, education hours, language evidence or additional training.
- Use the regulator’s foreign-educated applicant instructions.
- Check whether documents must come directly from the school or licensing authority.
- Keep a dated copy of the official requirement and receipt.

Choose the correct credential service
A credential evaluation compares education and records with a destination’s requirements. Do not order a report just because another applicant ordered it. A CES report, the New York credential-verification service and VisaScreen serve different purposes.
New York provides a foreign-educated application pathway with education-document options. Read NYSED’s current instructions before choosing a direct-document route or a verification service. VisaScreen is a healthcare-worker screening service for relevant U.S. immigration purposes; it is not a visa, job offer or nursing licence.
- Ask the regulator which report and recipient it accepts.
- Confirm whether licence verification is needed for your circumstances.
- Order English testing only after checking the accepting organisation’s current requirements.

Use this as an organiser, not an approval
Tick a task only when you have evidence it is complete. “Sent” does not mean “accepted”: a school can send a transcript while the regulator still needs to review it.
The checklist stores no personal documents, passport numbers or contact details. Changes remain in this page and reset on refresh. Print or save your completed checklist if you want a copy.
- Record deadlines in your own calendar.
- Do not send identity documents to people claiming to guarantee an ATT.
- Keep account passwords private and use official payment routes.
