U.S. NCLEX-RN Cost Planner in USD
Build a sourced expense estimate with state-board fee presets, the 2027 NCLEX fee change and clear unknown cost categories.
Quick answer
NCLEX registration for U.S. licensure is $200 before February 1, 2027 and $350 from that date. Board applications, fingerprinting and applicable evaluation, travel and other costs are separate. Blank categories remain unconfirmed.
Separate the exam from the licence
The registration date determines the applicable announced NCLEX registration fee. Testing at an international location adds the published $150 international scheduling fee, plus applicable tax. Do not add that charge simply because your education was outside the U.S.; it relates to the examination location.
The planner includes initial-examination board fee presets for California’s three graduate categories, New York, Texas and Florida. They are sourced starting figures, not a promise of a complete quote for every route. Endorsement, re-examination and optional permits may have different fees.
- Select your route before using a preset.
- Check the linked current schedule before payment.
- Include only services that apply to your circumstances.

Unknown is different from free
Fingerprints, credentials, translation, travel, tax and preparation vary. Leave a field blank when you have not confirmed it; enter zero only when you have established that there is no cost or the service does not apply.
The tool totals entered amounts and shows the number of unconfirmed categories. It rejects negative or non-finite entries. Your estimate is a planning aid, not an invoice or current foreign-exchange quotation.
- Ask for itemised provider quotes.
- Check refund rules and deadlines for each service.
- Keep a contingency allowance separate if you choose to include one.

Preparation subscriptions are a separate choice
RN Clarity prices remain USD: Monthly $49, 90 Days $119, 180 Days $199 and Yearly $299. Monthly renews automatically until cancelled; the other paid plans are one-payment access periods. Free resources remain available without a subscription.
Include optional preparation only when you decide to buy it. Review feature limits, cancellation and refund terms on the pricing page. A book order is separate from an app subscription and should not be counted twice.
Your USD expense plan
Initial-examination presets only. Verify the current board schedule and your route before payment. An international graduate testing in the U.S. does not automatically owe international scheduling.
